Welcome to my website! I am a ceramic artist and a teacher Jana Kotlaříková. Here you can find a presetation of original hand crafted artwork made of clay. The ceramic sculptures are fired in either electric or gas kilns at the temperature of 1250°C. The artwork pieces may be used both in the interior and exterior. The realistic portrayal of sculptures and stylistic shortcut are mirrored in my current artwork. I am placing artwork pieces which create some sort of a dialogue with each other opposite each other. By rotating their position the whole overall expression changes. The harmony of the sculpture with its surroundings is undoubtedly one of the most crucial relationships. Some of the sculptures are created directly for specific types of gardens whereas some others are in search of that perfect place.
I work closely with garden architects, hold exhibitions and my artwork is represented in private collections in the Czech Republic as well as abroad.
Since 1999 I have been teaching Arts classes in the Art School Hrušovany nad Jevišovkou.
